Re: Getting stared with RHEL 6
get all the documentation you could want here:
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/docs/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/
but nothing beats practise, so get the ISO, install it (in a VM like virtualbox) and test/play.

Re: Getting stared with RHEL 6
RedHat certification tests are not so much about answering questions.
Instead, they're more like "Here's a computer with the latest version of RHEL installed. Make it do *this*, *this* and *this*. You can do almost anything you want to the system during the testing time. After you're done, the system will be rebooted and then it will be automatically tested to see if it does the required things."
For example, one of the tasks in a RHCE certification might be like "Set up a web server so that when the user types in *this* exact URL to his/her browser, the server responds with *this* HTML file."
The entry-level certification has simpler tasks, but the idea is the same: you are required to do things that a system administrator might normally need to do, and then graded according to how successful you are.
You will have all the documentation in /usr/share/doc and on the man pages available to you (or if something is missing, you can probably install it using the standard package management utilities). But the testing is time-limited, so if you have no idea at all about how to do something and cannot find the information efficiently, you will run out of time reading the documentation and will fail the test that way.
