Google Interview

I am going to have an interview with google for a linux system admin position. What types of questions and interview process can I expect. Can somebody share some personal experiences. I have a total of 5 yrs of IT experience but the recent on has been on application admin on unix.

thanks

Re: Google Interview

Shalom Hunki,

Google is unique and what you get from this thread may be less useful than general.

I've been asked these kind of questions on interviews of the years:

1) What is your disaster recovery philosophy?
2) How do you find all files with string "medical" in them.
3) What is your philosophy on patching?

Hope this helps.

Re: Google Interview

There are numerous descriptions of google job interviews floating around the internet.

I don't recall them being all too positive, i.e. a lot of repetive interviews. In the end I got suspicious they won't hire You if You go through all this.

Expect quite a few interviews with quite a few people and at least 2 days to get it done.
yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.
