Hard link

Pls letme know the syntax for creating hardlink from one file in a dir to other.

ln [OPTION]... TARGET [LINK_NAME]

the most simple example:
ln filename newfilename

to create soft link (shortcut)
ln -s filename newfilename

remember that hard links can't span different partitions.
