Re: HBA installation

That means that probably you don't have the kernel-smp-devel-* package installed.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: HBA installation

hi Ivan:
taht problem on the linux installation or on the linux CD's i think that must be installed by default when the linux installation running , idont think i add all these by self
Note:
Do you think if i changed RHEL4 and i do anew installation i faced these problem again.

Re: HBA installation

Shalom,

There are good drivers in the PSP version 8 install for Red Hat on HP's website. That will get you around this.

Re: HBA installation

hi gauys,
I wont to inform you about what's the problem exactly:
i 've 4 servers DL380 G5 , two san switches and MSA1000 , each server i installed 2 HBA's PCI-E , and already now i installed the HBA driver from the MSA support CD and its done ,the issue now when i do restart the server its hang (almost about 3 hours)and then open ,but when i unblug one of the fiber cable from the switch its go directly to open .
for me i think the problem on the HBA installation its can't find the correct path to complete the circuilized
