HDD Replacement

Hi Guru's,
I'm new in Linux troubleshooting.
How to know which HDD is fail in RAID ARRAY and how to replace the HDD in RHEL5.

hi,

if its HW array, the server will see only one disk, mostly if a HDD failed is marked directly on the server for example with permanent RED light LED. If the server is a proliant, it is hot swappable, so that means you can replace it with a new one and the raid controller take care of remirroring by him self.

PS : if its Proliant with ILO, there will be a information which disk is failed, and in witch bay is located, each bay is marked on the front.
