How to define 2 NIS servers

Hi,

Is there a way to define 2 NIS servers. The usuall choice is between broadcast or to connect directly to a specified machine - can i define 2 of those ?!

Re: How to define 2 NIS servers

hi
not sure if i got your question correctly.

setup one server as a master and the other server as a slave and the nis client will send a broad cast and will find a server to bind to.

Re: How to define 2 NIS servers

Hi,

1. I'm asking about HPUX11.22/HPUX11.00 .
2. I need a client configuration that supports 2 NIS servers (and NOT broadcat mode).

Thx, Lior./

Hi,

Sorry my mistake it's Linux Admin - not HPUX, I reposted @HPUX.

Thx .:-)
