How to join Suse Linux server to windows 2000 DC

hi,
i have try to join my suselinux server 9.0 to my windows 2000 domain controler and i received this error message:

gmic-svr02:~ # /usr/bin/net ads join
root's password:
[2005/09/12 18:07:14, 0] libads/kerberos.c:ads_kinit_password(137)
kerberos_kinit_password root@GMIC.GH failed: Client not found in Kerberos data base

if somebody have any idea

Add a machine account for the Linux server on the Windows 2000 Primary Domain controller.

Then resume your procedure.

Please post the cookbook you are using so that we can give you good assistance.

Hi,

Is root your W2K administrator?

You should use

net ads join YOURDOMAIN -S yourdc.yourdomain -U administrator
