HP integrity Linux Essentials Foundations Pack Software
Hi all,
I have downloaded the ebsu-5.1.6.tgz file and after unziped i found the followings folders under EFI folder: (boot;configutils;efi_utils;firmware;io_cards;networking;nvrx2600)
I need to know what should i do to start configuring the smart array card, or what file should be executed to start configuring the smart array card.
thx,
Augusto

Re: HP integrity Linux Essentials Foundations Pack Software
Shalom,
The system bios has software in it to handle the smart array card, no need for software on that.
The smart array card should be done before OS installation.
Use the bios based utility for the smart array card, then do the OS install and install the rest.

Augusto,
You may want to provide more info on what system you are using as well if you still have questions.

Re: HP integrity Linux Essentials Foundations Pack Software
Good day and thanks for your prompt replay. The system that I need to configure the Smart Array 6404 card is already running with Linux RedHat 4 Update 6. The system is one HP Integrity RX6600. I have already inserted the card and did the following command:
# cat /proc/driver/cciss/cciss0
output:
CCISS0: HP Smart Array 6400 controller
Board ID: 0x409ce11
Firmware version: 2.48
IRQ: 53
Logical drives: 0
Current Q depth: 0
Current # commands on controller: 0
Max Q depth since init: 0
Max # commands on controller since init: 1
Max SG entries since init: 0
Sequencial access devices: 0
Note that this card will be connected to the external JBOD and need now a command to configure the smart card exemplo: ORCA or other that is used on LINUX for configuration. When I try the HPACUCLI command the output is that there is no software installed (HP Integrity Linux Essentials Foundations Pack Software) and the reason why I have downloaded on the link below
http://www.hp.com/go/integritylinuxessentials
ebsu-5.1.6.tgz which I had to unzip and found a folder called boot where is a BootIA64.efi and now I'm not able to runn this file.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong please help on configure the card after connected to the JBOD so that I can be able to see all disks and create the respective logical volumes, etc..etc..
Thx,
AC
