HP NetRAID-1M is aborting with SUSE Linux 10.1

Hello !

i'm installing SUSE-Linux 10.1 on a new SATA disk.

there is a HP Netraid RAID5 controller with 2 logical drives.

the kernel 2.6.17 is detecting /dev/sda and /dev/sdb for the SCSI RAID. i was installing on /dev/sdc for SATA disk

while searching for partitions the kernel says megaraid mbox cmd=28 aborting and is waitng 180 secs.

fdisk /dev/sda is working the first 10secs and then nothing.


Do I have to update the firmware from G.1.02 to
H.02.02 for HP NetRAID-1M/2M ??

the Netraid is now running fine with the old system Kernel 2.2 with Modules megaraid and sym53c8xx.

what's the problem ??
