HP StorageWorks NAS 2000s

hello,

Is it ok to install Windows Patches/updates for HP StorageWorks NAS 2000s installed with Windows server 2003 appliance edition?

Because, as I know in installing SP2 there is a need to use a Installer Kit. But what about windows patches?
