Installation hpmgmtbase failed
Hi All,
I trying to install the rpm package hpmgmtbase on a RHEL5.1 32 bits on a DL 385 G1 and I have this error message:
rpm -ivh hpmgmtbase-2.10-16.rhel5.i386.rpm
Préparation... ########################################### [100%]
1:hpmgmtbase ########################################### [100%]
Trying to rebuild ACPI module dev_acpi ...
___________________________ ACPI Notice _______________________________
Cannot rebuild ACPI module. kernel-headers is not installed, please
install the kernel-headers for 2.6.18-53, then run
"/etc/init.d/hpmgmtbase configure" to rebuild ACPI module and
"/etc/init.d/hpmgmtbase start" to load the new ACPI module.
___________________________ ACPI Notice _______________________________
IPMI drivers are now unconfigured
___________________________ Notice _______________________________
This package does not supply Open IPMI drivers that match
your kernel revision (2.6.18-53.el5).
Apparently, modules already exist in
/lib/modules/2.6.18-53.el5/kernel/drivers/char/ipmi
but they will not load properly and must be rebuilt.
/opt/hp/hpmgmtbase/OpenIPMI/README.ipmi
has instructions for generating IPMI modules that are compatible.
Any package that depends on Open IPMI will not run!
But the kernel-headers package is installed on this system:
rpm -qa --qf "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}-%{ARCH}\n" kernel*
kernel-headers-2.6.18-53.el5-i386
kernel-2.6.18-53.el5-i686
kernel-devel-2.6.18-53.el5-i686
Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Willy
