installing Red Hat ES4 on DL360 G5

Hi All,

I'm struggling to get Red Hat installed on a DL360 G5, it doesn't seem to recognize the disks.

Has anyone out there have any experience with this?

looks like the scsi controller may need a driver. E.g if you have SAS array controller you may need the driver.

What update version of RedHat are you trying to install from ?

As you will see from the the RedHat hardware catalogue here:
https://hardware.redhat.com/hwcert/list.cgi?product=Red+Hat+Hardware+Certification&quicksearch=dl360+g5

You need to be using at least Update 3.
Earlier versions don't have the relevant cciss driver to recognise the SmartArray controller.

Hi All,

the updated version of Red Hat did the trick, I muddled a little to gebin with trying to load the driver manually but it's all working fine now. The card is P400i.
