installing redhat on netserver lc 5/133

i have this minor problem, when i try to install rh7.2 my sytem hangs during instalition. but, when i try to install rh7.0 everything is ok! luckly, linux if free ;-). but i would still like to have rh7.2 on ,y system.

I have a Netserver LC 5/133 and I just installed RH 7.2 on it last week. I had several problems that I had to work out before I could successfully install 7.2. Where is the process "hanging" for you? Maybe I can help?

paul,

i get through the install ok, until i reach section, where installer starts formatting partitions. there it just "hangs" for a while trying to format a sector and after failure i get signal 11 error. please note that RH7.0 (kernel 2.2.16) installs ok, everytime!

I to am installing Linux on my company system for a bit of a test it is an hp 5/133 LH netserver. Everytime I boot the machine with the redhat 8.0 cd in it it still loads to the old mandrake files or it hangs with an error messsage of "Could not find Cd or cd error" somthing along those lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
