Internet browsing by normal users
Hi,
Have set up network interfaces on eth0 and was successfully able to browse the internet.
But this is only if I log-in as "root". Normal user gets error "Permission denied" when trying to browse. Any idea why?

Re: Internet browsing by normal users
Probably normal users does not have rights to execute the application that you are using for browsing.
Try a chmod on that!

Re: Internet browsing by normal users
Anyway, have recreated the account and eventually did not have any problem at all.
Am still using Mozilla.
Thanks anyway for your advice.

Re: Internet browsing by normal users
Probably prior to re-creation the user didn't have a home directory.
If the user doesn't have a home directory, but has that variable set in its profile, the browser will attempt to create its cache and bookmark files.
Since only root can create new directories in a properly secured /home filesystem that would explain your issue post mortem.
Good Luck,
