Is Linux supporting OLAR ?

Hi Linux Guys,

Can someone tell me (urls are welcome) if Linux is currently supporting OLA/R ?

I'm interested to know specifically on the proliant platform implementation.

Thanks, Bye.

Re: Is Linux supporting OLAR ?

From what I understand, OLAR is translatable into the IA32 world as "PCI Hot Swap", yes?

Welcome to the CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI (and CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_COMPAQ) kernel configuration options. These options appear to be experimental still in the latest 2.4.20+ kernel releases however, and I'm un-aware of HP/Compaq releasing drivers for this purpose.

I've not had the opportunity to use them, as I don't usually get to keep servers in 'development' for long enough.

The home of the development appears to be http://linux-hotplug.sourceforge.net/. Hope this helps a bit.
