Is there risk in rebooting my Linux server

On my production server two oracle filesystems or partitons are 100% full.. but OS file systems are okay

rebooting this server creates any problem

Is any good reason for rebooting the server - like kernel upgrade for example. This will not solve you the problem with 100% full file systems.

application team need the server reboot.

Of course you can reboot it.
During boot process watch the console for any errors.

you can reboot the server, but don't forget shutdown the oracle before.

hmm fishy.

first a reboot will not solve any disk full problems (linux is NOT windows) and full filesystems have no impact on the boot process.

second why do the app owners request a reboot? linux is NOT windows.
shutting down their application and starting it up again should be all they need to worry about, no need to reboot. i never, ever, follow up such requests from app owners unless they have a pretty darn good reason (which 99,9% of the time, they will not have).
