Java 5.0.01

I am wondering when HP is going to support Java 5 on hp-ux 11.0. It says on the following link that it isnt supported.

At the same time hp-ux 11.0 is said to be supported for another year and a half.

I doubt that HP will support anything further on 11.0. They are trying to encourage customers to upgrade, not make it easier for them to stay where they are.

did you try installing it on a test server ?

SDK versions 1.4.2.xx and 5.0 require patch PHCO_29959 for HP-UX 11.0, or patch PHCO_29960 for HP-UX 11.11 (11i v1) PA-RISC.

Not supported is not the same as not possible :-) and Yes I agree with Pete, HP will not encourage cu's to stay on 11.0.
