Kernel tuning Linux
Kindly let me know how to add additional parameters like enabling alias ip facility in kernel. Iam using redhat Advanced server 2.1, Kindly let me know the procedure how to go about in kernel tuning.

Most of the Kernel parameters can be tuned using the Sysctl facility. The sysctl facility accepts default information on startup from the file /etc/sysctl.conf (you may glean some useful information there).
However, If you want to enable IP Forwarding, all you need to do is place the following information (FORWARD_IPV4=true)in the file /etc/sysconfig/network.
