Lan speed on lInux

Hi all, on linux, how can I tell what speed my interfaces are set to.

Any help is appreciated and points will be assigned.

This seems to be very dependant on the hardware installed, not all interfaces support MII (Media Independent Interface). Try ethtool.

Well my notebook has a non-MII card and ethtool is not installed ;-)

hwinfo give some rasonable information on SuSE.
