last change password
I use RH Linux , can advise how can i know what time the user has last change the linux password ?
as I know chage -l userid can check it , but I have update /etc/shadow so I think the method to check the date is not correct for me ,can advise any system log hv this information ? thx

Please type the below command to check the last change password for a particular user.
chage -l username
Output:
Last password change : May 22, 2007
Password expires : never
Password inactive : never
Account expires : never
Minimum number of days
between password
change : 0
Maximum number of days
between password
change : 99999
Number of days of warning before password expires : 7
chage -l username
Output:
Last password change : May 22, 2007
Password expires : never

also try faillog -u username
