Linux & HP OpenView
Hi,
I am running HP OpenView version 8.13
root@lima:/var/tmp # opcagt -version
08.13.000
I want to manage a Red Hat Linux server
root@dustin:/cntrlfiles # uname -a
Linux dustin 2.4.20-8smp #1 SMP Thu Mar 13 17:45:54 EST 2003 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
root@dustin:/cntrlfiles #
I copied the installation files from /var/opt/OV/share/databases/OpC/mgd_node/vendor/linux/x86/linux24/A.08.10.160/RPC_BBC on the OVO server and I am ready to run the installation script.
Is there anything special I need to be aware of?
Thanks in Advance
regards,
Shane

Re: Linux & HP OpenView
Shane,
if you enable ssh or ftp you can do the installation of the agent software from the Openview GUI.
No major issues until you jump to a 2.6 kernel in linux.
