Re: Linux Cluster Software
Particularly the "links" section
http://linux-ha.org/
There are about a million different options available depending on what sort of clustering you want. This can range from the "super computer" cluster solutions to simply scripting it yourself. I'll admit to doing a perl package failover system for Linux about four years ago (sadly lost it now). It's easy and simple and maybe scripting something yourself is a viable option.

Re: Linux Cluster Software
When I say Linux cluster I mean HA Cluster and not the parallel/super computing cluster. Have you used any of the linux HA clusters?
Thanks,

Re: Linux Cluster Software
Redhat has something called Red Hat Cluster Suite, an optional product certified for Red Hat AS and ES. Contains Cluster Manager and IP Load Balancing (originally called Piranha).
No experience with this.
For Oracle RAC cluster no separate cluster software is needed (you use Oracle Cluster Manager software).

They offer a front machine with NLB. Quite easy to set up and good performances...
