Re: Linux Console on Desktop PC

If you have "xconsole", you could run that.
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"

Re: Linux Console on Desktop PC

Sajeesh,

Can you please explain what do you mean when speaking about "linux console"?

If you speak about "remote console" - you should use iLO http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/iloadv/index.html

Re: Linux Console on Desktop PC

1) You can connect to your Linux console via a web browser. As I recall, if you authorize it on the Linux box that can happen on port 98. It can be set up in Linux from the linuxconf command, I believe.

2) You can open a port on your firewall and connect with relfections or Hummingbird X emmulation and have the same desktop you would have at a console connection.

I don't know what a console switch is, but believe that there are adequate itrc posts saying how to do it.
