Linux/GNU replacement for Microsoft Mediaroom Personal Server

I have a need for testing a pre-production network for compatibility with ICS (Instant Channel Change) and VOD (Video on Demand) capabilities. We've been told that Microsoft Mediaroom Personal Server is "the" way to test the system. I'd like to know if there if a Linux/GNU/free system that can do the same types of things as MMPS.
