Linux Ignite backup
Hi All,
I am facing problem in taking OS file system backup as a bootable format in RedHat Linux same as in HP-Unix.
Could any one give me suggestions for
1) How to convert tar ball to bootable file.
2) Is there any issues in RedHat Ignite, other than "conversion of tar to bootable file".
Thanks and Regards
M.Sukumar.

Re: Linux Ignite backup
There is no HP Ignite for Linux, but there are several solutions:
- Mondo/Mindi rescue (http://www.mondorescue.org/)
- Norton Ghost works for most configurations
- Acronis (http://www.acronis.com/) (non-free)
- G4l [Ghost for Linux](http://sourceforge.net/projects/g4l)

Re: Linux Ignite backup
Shalom,
My suggestions:
http://www.acronis.com
costs money
http://www.mondorescue.org
costs nothing but is significantly less easy to use.
