Linux Monitoring
I’m trying to understand the best way of monitoring RH 3.0/4.0 ES servers on
HP blades. Both our Windows and Linux servers will be HP ProLiant blades and both will have SIM 5.0 installed. This will take care of the HW monitoring, but now how do you monitor the OS layer? (Heartbeats, CPU, Memory and Disk space)
Thanks, Richard

Re: Linux Monitoring
Also, what would HP solution be? Are network group has HP NNM installed. Would I be able to leverage off NNM?
Thanks, Richard

Re: Linux Monitoring
expose the OS to monitoring by any SNMP
tools you might have.

Re: Linux Monitoring
if you are using other hp products like OVO, you can install a linux agent to do the monitoring for you.
