Linux Proliant Support Pack 8.15 and RHEL 5.3
Did you also notice that RHEL 5.3 which was released today is crashing with a kernel panic because of HP iLO package ?
Beware because a "yum update" won't warn you that the migration from RHEL5.2 to 5.3 will occur (except that there are a huge packages number which should be updated).
Fortunately for me, it happened on a test system.
I hope a new PSP-8.16 for Redhat Enteprise Linux which will correct this issue will be released soon.
Rgds

Re: Linux Proliant Support Pack 8.15 and RHEL 5.3
It will take some weeks, perhaps a few months before PSP will support RHEL 5.3.
HP labs takes the time to do QA and then will release a new Proliant Support pack.
yum update will probably break necessary PSP functionality.

Re: Linux Proliant Support Pack 8.15 and RHEL 5.3
PSP 8.20 doesn't seem to fix everything, the qla driver shipped with this version fails to install:
rpm -ivh hp_qla2x00src-8.02.11-6.noarch.rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
This RPM is not supported on RHEL 5.3 or greater
error: %pre(hp_qla2x00src-8.02.11-6.noarch) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping hp_qla2x00src-8.02.11-6

Re: Linux Proliant Support Pack 8.15 and RHEL 5.3
I forwarded your question to someone on the PSP team and this is their response:
The Qlogic driver is now part of the RHEL5.3 distribution and will not be installed from the Linux PSP on that kernel. The PSP will still install the Qlogic driver on older OS.
