Re: Linux RedHat9 patches

you should register in RedHat.For redhat 9 the updates are available till April 2004...

goto http://rhn.redhat.com
or
from within the system use up2date utility

Re: Linux RedHat9 patches

Red Hat replaces binaries with patches versions.

You have a utility called up2date

Run it at the command line as root or in X and you will be stepped through a registration process.

Then you can download and install everything you need in one process.

Its harmless except for the kernel part. I would not upgrade that without a good reason.

Re: Linux RedHat9 patches

And there is a considerable number of them. I did install Fedora Core 1 recently and up2date came immediatly up with 50+ patches.

Using up2date installing the patches is easy.

Re: Linux RedHat9 patches

If you just want to do a bulk download of the patches, you can also pull them from the RH website (or your favourite mirror), from the /pub/redhat/linux/updates/9/en/os/ structure.

Re: Linux RedHat9 patches

To ftp the patches, I recommend a mirror site.
fttp://mirrors.kernel.org/redhat/redhat/linux/updates/9/en/os/
is one. There are others listed at:
