Linux Tape backup

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know of a linux (7.1) utility for baseline backup to local magnetic tape. Something like make_tape_recovery -A for HP-UX.Presently I am just using
tar -cvf /dev/st0 /, which is'nt very nice.

We use mondoarchive/mondorestore.

It is free and works.

Can restore complete system or just a file.

I have used to clone systems too.
