Linux with Dell
i want to install redhat Linux 9 on Dell power edge 2850 server bu the installarion cd does not contain redhat linux 9 ,and when i try to install it directly from the cd it does not work it can not detect the hard disks , i wantto install adriver ,which one should i choose( the HDD RAID 5)

If this is the case, you need to grab the RH drivers from the Dell website (start from http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd I guess).
The Perc drivers (also known as 'megaraid' drivers) drive the rebadged LSILogic (previously AMI) series of RAID controllers (similar to the NetRAID series of HP controllers).
I doubt however that you'll find one for RedHat 9.

Did you use PERC 4e/di raid controller? DELL did not provide PERC 4e/di driver for RH9. You can select other raid controller or compile driver by yourself.
