lvm performance boost is non linear

Hallo World,

I just finished configuring lvm, striping over 4X 17G drives. I realize however that the bandwidth that I get is not 4x the bandwidth gotten from a single disk without lvm. I get abt 75%

Is this normal ?!?
Should I panic ? :o)

can someone please explaine to me how to measure IOPS.
