mailqueue
i have got the following alert on my OVO.
sendmail daemon could not receive/send mail to STEVE@PINNACLEBUILDER.COM: queued
I checked the mailq and the o/p is
(241)==> mailq
Mail Queue (2 requests)
--Q-ID-- --Size-- -----Q-Time----- ------------Sender/Recipient------------

(host map: lookup (PINNACLEBUILDER.COM): deferred)

Waht was the reason for queuing a long time. its in queue for more than 4 hrs. Where should i getr information regarding the queue and what was the reason.

Can your machine successfully 'dig mx PINNACLEBUILDER.COM', or 'dig a PINNACLEBUILDER.COM' ?
Also, is the sendmail daemon actually running with queue-runners? (sendmail -q1h, or some such).

Lots of reasons for this mail to be held up.
First post points to not being able to look up the hostname pinnaclebuilder.com
If this works, check the /var/log/maillog for more specific errors.
It could be blockage on your firewall/smtp server. It could be the site itself is down and there is nothing you can do about it.
BTW, if this is an actual email address, you may inadvertantly get steve some spam, because this website is harvested by spammers for email addresses.
Always alter email addresses when posting to itrc.
