mdrecoveryd

I installed RH9 on a LC2000, raid 5. I noticed a daemon running that I am not familiar with called mdrecoveryd. Can anyone shed some light on this process?

Re: mdrecoveryd

md is linux RAID (md=multiple disks). mdrecoveryd is the RAID recovery daemon. It is not started by any startup scripts but is probably started by the linux RAID kernel module itself. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Its a deamon associated with maintaining raid integrity.
