Measureware problem

/var/opt/perf/proclogs has recently grown until it exceeds 65Mb in size and is still growing rapidly whenever Measureware is running.
The "size" parm is set to 30Mb.
Restarting measureware does not rollback the file to the correct size. Utility shows the parmfile as correct.
I can probably use utility to resize the file but would like to know the underlying cause.
