MIBs for RedHat 7.0

Hello,

I would like to monitor RedHat 7.0 machines' interface utilization. Which MIBs can I use?Where can I get the MIBs for monitoring purpose?

Thanks in advance. Go ahead :)

Re: MIBs for RedHat 7.0

Hi ,

you install the snmp rpm pkg then
configure /etc/snmp.conf. (Default config is disable).
Then try snmpwak command to fetch all the information that snmp can get.

Hi,

'interfaces' should be the answer.

Re: MIBs for RedHat 7.0

Hello again,

Should I install any MIBs on NNM management station?

I install RPM Package v.4.1.2-8 on Redhat 7.0 servers, but no information about interface utilization returned. I can only get the information of system description.

Which version of RPM should I use? Any special configuration on RedHat required?

Thanks.
