ML150G2

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me why I can't see the NC320T PCI express card on my Linux Enterprise 3 Server? The O/S was installed by HP.

Thanks
Joe

Re: ML150G2

The card may be dead.

Try the linkloop command if it exists on Linux or file a hardware call with HP Response Center.

Re: ML150G2

run lspci command
check for the card in the o/p. if the card is present then you can look for the drivers, try installing them manually, and then try making the interface up.

Re: ML150G2

Actually, someone has created a linkloop command for Linux. I just came across it today when i did a google search before starting to try to write one myself:

http://freshmeat.net/projects/linkloop/

includes a linkloop command that works somewhat like the HP-UX linkloop. A reply daemon, and a crude lanscan command.

However, linkloop would not address the question of a card not being visible to the OS. The aforementioned driver stuff would be good, and making sure the card is properly seated. Also, making sure that any other PCI Express stuff in the system is seen (making sure that PCI Express is working itself) would be good.

Re: ML150G2

Thanks for your input, I put a call in to the itrc support. The issue was an old version of the linux 0/S which was not supported by HP.
