I try to install Suse 9.1 on an ML350 Server (Compaq prolinat) which was configured as NT. I used the SmartStart CD (version 5.2) to setup the system for Linux. when I try to install Linux I alway get the error not hard disk found :( even in the manual setup where i select the driver... please help...

Suse 9.1 is not certificated ML350 by HP.
I suggest that use suse cd1 to boot and install scsi or raid drivers manually.
just for fun

You should try to set up a a boot flag in your raid / scsi controller bios !

I'm assuming you are having trouble with the array controller. Go to HPs site and download the latest and greatest drive for the array controller. There are directions on their site but in short, you burn the floppy image and during the manual installation hit the ALT key to let the installer know that you have updated drivers. They select the scsi driver for the array controller.

Use the following link to get started.
