modem config

Hi All!

Im trying to config an internal modem on Armada 110 notebook (Compaq).
My linux is conectiva Linux or RedHat. It's possible ?
When I use WIN XP on properties i see? Lucent Win Modem. It's on COM3.

You modem is a standard modem. The problem is its a Win Modem.

There is a site, http://www.linmodem.com/ which I believe has drivers for these modem types.

Linux does not have built in support for these modems. In my biased opinion Microsoft conspired to create modems that would only work with their operating system.
