Mount point not displaying?
I have created mount /u01. but /u01 is not displaying when issued df -k command.

Which means what, exactly?
Did you actually mount something?
mount
cat /etc/fstab
As usual, it might help to see some actual
commands with their actual output, instead of
vague descriptions and interpretations.

type the command "lvs" and check the name which u have given lvname
type uptime and see, server is up since when.
Did u rebooted without making an entry in /etc/fstab?
if not try mount it in /tmp as mentioned in /etc/fstab
