NC7782 which driver is better.
Hi
which driver is better tg3? bcm5700? or maybe something else ?
I have dl360 g4 that will do routing + NAT + firewall + shaping + VLANS.
I always used intel e1000 or e100 - thats why i have doubts.

Re: NC7782 which driver is better.
bcm5700 driver is more sepcific for broadcom NICs. HP mainly maintains driver and firmware upgrades.
If you have hardware support through HP and Linux support from a different vendor, when comes to identifying issue on the nic or on the driver and getting support, you get an easier time with support if you use their driver on their hardware.
We use bcm5700 driver for the broadcom nics without issue.
Cheers
