network bonding on red hat linux virtual servers

Hii all,

 

we have few red hat Linux servers 6.3's running on VMware virtual environment. I was wondering if we need to configure network bonding on them or using single ethernet provides the ability of failover and bandwidth since its virtual environment? Someone please put some light on this.
