network card setting

I have newly install a RH linux and setup the network card setting, what is the difference of the file etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo ? thx

Hello!

In the lo you have configuration of loopback
interface (127.0.0.1) and the eth0 is config
of the network addres (192.168.1.1) the address
that you set to connect via network.

eth0 is the first NIC card detected

lo is loopback. If your machine is working right, you should NEVER touch ifcfg-lo
