NIS+ Replica status

Hi,

I was wondering if there is any command to find out the replication status between a Master NIS+ and a Replicated NIS+ Server.

Thanks

Re: NIS+ Replica status

Supposely, change in master is replicated to slave automatically. If you do not trust this process, you could check .dbm file specs on slave machine, and check that it's been changed at accordingly to master's change date and time...

Re: NIS+ Replica status

Hello,

A nislog -v on the master and the replicate should be able to show you what you are looking for. A nisping -u on HPUX will show you the time of last update. A nisping -Ca will ensure all the NIS+ replica's are notified that there are changes and therefore to load the transaction log into the NIS+ database.

Hope that helps,
