No insight management devices available
I am trying to install the HP Management packages on a RH 2.1 server on the e40 kernel and get the error listed in the subject line. I have this already installed on a different server that is almost exactly configured.
Here is the actual install and error:
[HP-Management]# rpm -ivh hprsm-7.2.0-198.rhel21.i386.rpm
Preparing... 1:hprsm [100%]
No insight management devices available
(missing or disabled) on this system.
Please remove the hprsm package at your
earliest convenience (rpm -e hprsm).
The hprsm RPM installation failed!
Any suggestions on what could be causing this failure?

Re: No insight management devices available
Whatever an insight management device is(NIC, don't know) is not present on the system.
I'd follow the instruction and rpm -e the package.
I might suggest the rpm -ivvh command to get super verbose messaging on the installation.
