NS firewall discovery problem
Recently, I need to discover a netscreen firewall over NNM 7.01 Starter Edition. The firewall is found to be pingable and able to get snmp information from the NNM Console using snmpwalk. When I use the loadhosts command to discover the firewall, a generic node is displayed on the IP map. When I issue nnmdemandpoll , the node found to be removed by netmon process. I try to find the node using 'Find' utility and the node still not found. I execute the command ovtopodump and try to locate the node, the node is still not found. But I finding under ovobjprint command, all the interface information of the firewall is displayed. Why that condition occured and how to resolved it ? [I have pay no action on modify the oid_to_type or oid_to_symbol and no filter is defined]

Re: NS firewall discovery problem
The NS firewall will only allow physical interfaces to be seen via the mib-2.ifTable
Netmon is deleting the node during a configuration poll(or demand poll) because the connecting interfaces are not physical interfaces, and subsequently don't show in the ifTable.
