OEL 4.7 cannot detect all luns from XP24k
Evn.:
XP24k+ san switch MDS +C7000+ BL680c+ OEL4.7+ Emulex LPe1105
without any multipath software install yet.
Isuue:
Mapping 8 luns(256GB each) to the OEL OS. but just find only one lun with 4 paths(/dev/sda,/dev/sdb,/dev/sdc,/dev/sdd)
++++the output for XP24k lun mapping++++++++
System B10_bladeBay1
WWN 1 10000000c99a6f02
WWN Alias 1
WWN 2 10000000c99a6f03
WWN Alias 2
Mapped Ports 1A / 2A
00:01:00 LUN0100 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:01 LUN0101 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:02 LUN0102 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:03 LUN0103 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:04 LUN0104 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:05 LUN0105 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:06 LUN0106 OPEN-V (256 GB)
00:01:07 LUN0107 OPEN-V (256 GB)
the following pdf says "XP luns present to linux must start with LUN 0"
http://h50146.www5.hp.com/products/software/oe/linux/mainstream/support/doc/option/fibre/pdfs/c01831335.pdf
Is that true? the LUN ID can only be 0000/0100/0200/.....??
How can I use the OS and DB with different XP luns to enhance the IO performance?
many thanks
