Oracle 9.2 installation on Redhat Linux AS3

Hi,

I am facing problem while installing Oracle 9.2 on Linux AS3.
It's gives me error of JAVA VM & GUI doesn't pop up.

Also let me know the requied patches & the location from where I can down load the same.

Have you installed JDK 1.3.1 or later revision?

Here are the list of required patches for differnt OSs. But I don't see many patches for Linux,

Hi,

Thanks for prompt reply, After installation of JDK 1.3.1 I am able to get the GUI.

But after selecting the all the packages it's starts the installation & with in a minutes the GUI disappeares with the following error messages.

The IBM java off the original install cd's will support Oracle database without additional software.

Use the gnome installer and it will pull depenencies as well.
