ORACLE ENTERPRISE LINUX 4 NETWORK CARD NOT VISIBLE

Hi Guys,i recently installed Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 update 7 on a new ML 370 G6 Server.
The installation completed but did not ask me for the embedded network cards configuration.
I cannot see my embedded network card so i tried downloading the drivers for the card but still didnt yield any positive results.
Please assist

I think that the G6 servers are not fully supported until OEL version4 Update 8

Shalom,

You need RHEL 5, update 2 or above to work with that hardware.

I recommend update 4 if you want partial support from HP's PSP server packages that make management easier.

I assume there is a reason going with the Oracle Version instead of RH, or CentOS.

Good luck.

I'm not certain if this is the best starting point, but it seems to be a sufficient starting point to find things like minimum supported distro revs for different ProLiant boxes.
