Oracle requirements on Linux 7.1
A Oracle DBA said that he is missing the following:
Oracle indicates that the following executables are required.
ar
ld
nm
if you do a which ar, which ld and which nm they should point to
/usr/local/bin
I am not sure where to find or what these files do/are.
Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Oracle requirements on Linux 7.1
I think they are all library linker. Needed by oracle during the installation processes to link binaries or after patch update you may need to relink oracle. I think ar is the linker for Solaris and ld for Linux , not sure about nm. Hope this helpls.

Hi there.
Check this URL :

Bottom of page shows Install and upgrade guide for Linux.
Perhaps that can help.
