Pavilion 8765C Network problem with Redhat7.0

Hi,

Do anybody have successfully set up the network card for Pavilion 8765C with Redhat 7.0. I used Linuxconf to set it up (eth0, rtl8139 was used. and i/o port and irq were left empty). It looks fine at booting time, and all the related files look fine too. But I cannot access the network. It says the network is not accessible. The card works fine under Windows Me and Windows 2000.
Any suggestions?

Regards,

Bin

If it is only the network itself that is not accessible, check the settings for that interface (netmask, ip addresses, default gateway etc).

Can you ping the eth0 interface itself?
Can you do a broadcast ping on the local subnet (ping -b)?
If all else fails, try reading the manual...
